Image description: "The First Ladies," a novel by Marie Benedict and Victoria Christopher Murray, "New York Times" bestselling authors of "The Personal Librarian." A quote at the bottom of the cover reads: "This book will expand your perspective and keep you reading late into the night," said by Dolen Perkins-Valdez, "New York Times" bestselling author of "Take my Hand." The book cover features an illustration of two women walking along the edge of a pond with the Washington monument visible over a nearby hill. The hillside is covered in white and pink flowers, and the trees near the pond (dogwood, and cherry blossom) are also covered in white and pink flowers. The women are seen from behind, looking at each other with their arms linked at the elbows. The woman on the left is wearing a sky-blue skirt suit with a matching hat; and the woman on the right is wearing a burgundy sweater, a matching hat, and a warm plaid skirt.
